Cocoa Processing Plants

Infrared pre-treatment IR

The infrared pre-treatment IR serves as a cocoa bean preparation system before the winnower. The beans are exposed to infrared radiation for a period of 120 to 180 seconds. This high energy input leads to superior removal of the shells from the beans in the Winnower.

Processing capacities

  • 1,000 - 8,000 kg/h cocoa beans

Highlights of the infrared machine IR

  • superior releasing of the cocoa shells from the beans
  • high yield values
  • low energy costs
  • reduction of insect fragments and rodent hair
