The Lehmann winnowing plant is a very gentle handling machine because of its multistaged cocoa bean breaker and cocoa bean winnower system for breaking cocoa beans with minimal damage to the nibs. The nibs and shells are separated in multi-stage sieve boxes with subsequent additional winnowing.

The efficient separation of broken nibs and shells reduces waste and renders a high quality of cocoa, both of which in turn, put less wear on downstream grinders and refiners.

The Lehmann Winnowing Plant DB can handle raw, dried, roasted, cold or hot beans with a capacity range of one to eight tons per hour.
